Welcome to the School Day at Flakefleet
At Flakefleet Primary School, we want every child to have a calm and positive start to their day.
Our school day begins with children arriving through their designated gates, where they are welcomed by members of our staff team.
Morning Arrangements
- Gates open: 8:45am
- Children should arrive at school between 8:45am and 8:55am.
- Gates close: 8:55am
Please ensure your child arrives in good time so that they are settled and ready to begin their learning.
The School Day
Our school day is structured to provide children with a balance of learning, play, social time and opportunities to develop their independence.

End of the School Day
To allow for the different needs of our younger and older pupils, the school day finishes at slightly different times.
Reception and Key Stage 1
3:25 pm
This includes children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Key Stage 2
3:30 pm
This includes children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Children should be collected promptly at the end of their school day by an authorised adult, in accordance with our school arrangements.
A Positive Start and Finish
We know that the beginning and end of the school day can be busy for families. Our staff are available to support children as they arrive and leave, helping make these transitions as smooth and positive as possible.
