Our Admissions Process

Dear Prospective Parent,

Thank you for your interest in our Primary School. We are exceptionally proud of our children, School and everything we achieve together as a Community.

As a maintained primary school Lancashire County Council administers our admissions and full details of the criteria and policy can be found at

Admission to Reception Class

Children are normally admitted to the reception class at the beginning of the academic year in which they are five.

The online application process opens in the September prior to a child starting school and all online applications must be submitted before the 15th January. LCC will then send out notification letters to parents in April. Any pupils who are not happy with their offer may appeal, full details are provided by LCC.

Selection and oversubscription are managed by LCC as they are our admissions authority.

It is parents’ responsibility to ensure their application is submitted to the authority before the deadline.

In Year Admissions

Children moving into the area can be admitted at any time during the school year. This is dependent upon a place being available in the required year group. Contact the school office to arrange a convenient time to meet the Headteacher and arrange a visit to the school before you complete the in-year admissions form from Lancashire County Council.
